The Deira Clock Tower Reduces Energy Consumption by 90%

One of Dubai’s most treasured historical landmarks gets an environmental upgrade with TECHLUMEN LEDs

• Half of the original number of luminaires were required to achieve maximum luminosity for the Deira Clock Tower
• The Clock Tower shines brightly at night while realizing a significant 90% reduction in its annual KWh consumption with an equal reduction in energy cost
• TechLumen used special optics LED with 187L/W output. SPC-XTE-288W were used

The previously-installed conventional lights produced an annual energy consumption of over 200,000 KWh (kilowatts per hour) to run 12 hours a day every day of the year, while these new TECHLUMEN LED’s output is expected at approximately 10,600 KWh for the year resulting in a substantial reduction in cost and consumption.
