Shell Gas Station LED Lighting — Pefka, Thessaloniki
Location: 4.5 km Thessaloniki–Asvestochori Road, Pefka, Thessaloniki
At the Shell fuel station on the 4.5 km Thessaloniki–Asvestochori road, the existing shop lighting consisted of 12 fixtures with 2×18W fluorescent lamps, 2 fixtures with 4×18W fluorescent lamps, and 3 recessed fixtures with 2×26W lamps. These were replaced with 9 Techlumen SQ-V LED panels rated at only 27.9W each. Energy consumption was reduced by 73%, yielding savings of 6,226 kWh/year, with no loss of brightness. Air-conditioning costs were also significantly reduced, as the LED panels produce virtually no heat.
